Here we had to pile the foundations for the extension side to the close proximity of Oak Trees. Oak trees take up a lot of the water from surrounding soil so can cause subsidence. The piles are driven so deep down that the roots can’t affect them, hence why piling was the only option in this case.
Once the extension was built, we knocked through from the old kitchen and then took the dividing wall down between old kitchen and dining room. The end result was this massive kitchen/diner.
Underfloor heating was fitted in the extension area and then we finished off the outside area with a new patio.
